Dismissal of Wushu coach: Association demands redressal

Kakching, January 25 2025: Kakching District Wushu Association has urged the concerned authority to look into the dismissal of Yumlembam Sapana as one of the four coaches set to accompany the Manipur Wushu team at the 38th National Games in Uttarakhand which will commence from January 28 .

A press release issued by Naorem Sanjitkumar, president, Kakching District Wushu Association informed that 39 Wushu players, 4 coaches and 2 managers were selected to take part in the 38th National Games.

Yumlembam Sapana was one of the four coaches reportedly voted by the players to participate in the 38th National Games.

However, Kakching District Wushu Association alleged that Sapana was abruptly removed as coach without any reason.

Terming the incident as unfortunate, the Association has demanded the relevant authority to look into the matter and reinstate Y Sapana as one of the four coaches.
