Sit-ins demand 7th Pay

Imphal, April 24 2018:
Staff and employees of ZEO Zone II Porompat staged a sit in protest at the Department complex today in support of the demand of JAC of AMTUC and AMGEO to implement the 7th Pay in the State.
Speaking to media persons on the spot, one of the employees, M Nabachandra accused the State Government of using delaying tactics regarding the issue and demanded the State Government to implement 7th Pay in the State or to make its stand clear at the earliest.
On the other hand, staff of Planning and Development Authority (PDA) staged a sit in protest in front of the office gate in support of the JAC's demand.
PDA Welfare Employee Association member Khaidem Ajitkumar appealed on behalf of the PDA and MAHUD staff for quick implementation of 7th Pay in the State.
Pointing out that a quick solution will ease the hardships faced by the employees and staff, he said that the employees will fully support all the protest/agitation launched by the JAC if the State Government fails to heed the demand of the employees.
A similar sit in protest was also organised by staff of the Directorate of Environment and Ecology Wing, Porompat today.
