AR organises "A Day With Coy Commander"

In its continued efforts to strengthen ties with local communities, the Assam Rifles organized an engaging event titled "A day with Company Commander" at Kovang village, under Chandel district.
The program saw enthusiastic participation from 89 attendees, including Assam Rifles personnel and members of the local civilian population, said a release issued by IGAR (S) .
The event commenced with a warm welcome address by the Company Commander, who emphasized the Assam Rifles' commitment to fostering harmony and mutual understanding between security forces and the local community, added IGAR (S).
Following this, a lecture and demonstration on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) were conducted, imparting essential life-saving skills to attendees.
IGAR continued that the participants showcased their talents through soulful songs and energetic dance performances, including captivating traditional dances by local civilian girls, celebrating the region's rich cultural heritage.
Adding a sporting spirit to the day, a friendly volleyball match between Assam Rifles personnel and civilians was also held, further strengthening camaraderie among participants, asserted the IGAR (S).
The local community highly appreciated the efforts of the Assam Rifles, acknowledging the event as a meaningful initiative to foster goodwill and unity.
