Talking to media persons during the inspection visit, Joint Secretary of All Wangjing Development Organisation Ch.
Suranjoy said that it was very unfortunate that the contractor and the sub-contractors have executed the work without quality control.
The Dam is supposed to provide irrigational facilities to vast tract of agricultural land in Wangjing area.
But these contractor and sub-contractors think only about their own profit and nothing about the welfare of the people, he lamented.

It was only after a joint meeting of the local MLA, contractor and the people that the construction work was allowed to be resumed following assurance that all the specifications mentioned in the DPR would be adhered to, he recalled.
"However, as the hope of the people has been belied again, we do not want the contractor to continue the work and the construction work has been banned once again", Suranjoy announced, while appealing to the authorities concerned to hand over the work to an agency which is at the level of either the Chief Engineer or the Department or to someone who can understand the pulse of the people.
He also drew the attention of the authorities concerned for conducting a spot inspection to confirm the present condition of the dam.
