Sensitization programme on POCSO Act, 2012 held at Jiribam

Jiribam, February 23 2025: District Administration, Jiribam in collaboration with District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Jiribam organised a one day Sensitization Programme for Government school teacher's on "POCSO Act, 2012" and "Combating Child Trafficking" at Hilghat Community Hall, Jiribam today.

The event was attended by Jiribam District SDO, Laishram Roshan Singh (MCS), Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Jiribam chairperson, Mutum Maipaksana Singh, ZEO, Jiribam, Thoubal Amurashi Chanu and Jiribam SDC/Branch Officer, Yumlembam as presidium members.

At the technical session of the event, Phurailatpam Devabrata Sharma, Protection Officer, DCPU Jiribam stressed on the topic "POCSO Act, 2012" while Mala Lisham, Programme Officer (SCPS) stressed on "Combating Child Trafficking" as resource persons.

The event was attended by various teachers of Jiribam district.
