In response to urgent requests from villagers of Kanglatongbi, Imphal West District, the Assam Rifles initiated an extensive fogging operation to address a concerning rise in vector-borne diseases, particularly dengue and malaria.
The operations commenced on November 21, following a significant outbreak that has raised public health alarms in the region, said a release issued by HQ IGAR(South).
Recognizing the critical nature of the situation, the Assam Rifles conducted systematic fogging in residential and high-risk areas to effectively reduce mosquito growth.
