Mao Council appreciates CM, Dy CM for Senapati Medical College

Senapati, August 22 2026: The Mao Council has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand and Deputy ChiefMinister Losii Dikho for their unanimous decision to establish a medical college in Senapati district.

In a press release, the Mao Council said it deeply appreciated the fulfilment of the long-cherished dream of the people.

"The far-sighted vision of the Government of Manipur for overall development, particularly in Senapati, is beyond our expectations," the Council stated.

It further said that the proposed medical college would significantly help meet the healthcare needs of the people of Senapati and neighbouring areas.

The Mao Council expressed hope that the project would be implemented at the earliest so that the people could soon reap its benefits.

It also acknowledged the efforts of the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and the State Cabinet in taking the decision.

The Council further prayed for good health, wisdom, and a long life for all the Cabinet Ministers, while expressing hope that they would continue working for the welfare and development of the people.
