Kakching, June 22 2025: The prize distribution function of the "2nd Sekmaijin Gram Panchayat Level Painting Competition" was held today at Ibudhou Wangbren Laibung, Sekmaijin Khunou in Kakching district.

The annual painting competition was organised by Anouba Lamjing Mayol (ALAM), Sekmaijin Khunou in connection with World Environment Day 2025 .

The event was attended by Elangbam Surendrajit, chairperson, Kakching District ZP as the chief guest; Ningthoujam Inaobi, chairperson, Sekmaijin GP as the functional president and Elangbam Priyokumar alias Ito, Member, Sekmaijin ZP as the guest of honour.

In category A (class I to IV), Mutum Meena, (Bal Vidya Bhawan), Huidrom Sime (Smart Universal Academy, School) and Celcy Sorokhaibam (Smart Universal Academy) bagged the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes.

In category B (class V to VII), Senjam Gitanjali (Grace Reach Academy, Hiyanglam), Allies Moirangthem (The Moral Guidance School, Komlakhong) and Irengbam Ranitasori (Smart Universal Academy) were declared the winners of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes respectively.

Lastly, Elangbam Manithoiba (Pole Star School, Wabagai), Thongam Avinash (Bal Vidya Bhawan) and Leishangthem Jinasana (Smart Universal Academy) received the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes in category C (class VIII to X) .

22 selected students from the three categories were awarded consolation prizes.
