EKAL calls for subdued festivities

Imphal, December 21 2025: In view of the present crisis in the State and the hardships besetting the people, the Eramdam Kanba Lup (EKAL) has called for subdued festivities, including 'Bye Bye' and New Year celebrations.

Speaking to media persons today, EKAL general secretary Sarangthem Romesh said appealed to all the people to be sensitive to the prevailing conflict situation, loss of life, and displacement of thousands from their homes.

Expressing concern over the tense situation in the State following the recent firing and bombing in Bishnupur district, Romesh also urged the Government and relevant authorities to take appropriate measures to ensure the safety & security of the people.
