Manipur puts North East on tourism and hospitality map at THSC Connect 2026

Imphal, August 21 2026: Manipur made a strong presence at THSC Connect 2026 as the Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council hosted the day-long conclave on the theme "The Power of Partnerships" at Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.

The event brought together Government officials, industry leaders, CSR heads and training partners to strengthen India's tourism and hospitality workforce.

In the inaugural session, Rajan Bahadur, CEO, THSC delivered the welcome address.

Keynotes were given by Prashant Sinha, COO, NSDC, Prof Ashok Kumar Gaba, NCVET and Amit Meena, Director, MSDE.

Chief guest Debashree Mukherjee, Secretary, MSDE reaffirmed the ' Ministry's commitment to Viksit [email protected] Mahendra Singh Payal, NSDC also announced the THSC & NSDC Academy Collaboration.

During panel discussions, Dr Akbir Khan of SAS Skills, Imphal highlighted North East's potential in "Partnerships That Perform", while Lairenjam Niranjan Singh, CEO & Founder, JCRE, Imphal shared insights on skilling in Manipur in "Unlocking State Potential".

Manipur's contribution was recognised with three awards.

Meidingu Institute of Aviation and Hospitality received the Training Partner Award and Industry Partner Award, and SAS Skills received the Training Partner Award.

Institutions from Manipur including Classic Hospitality Training Institute, SAS Skills, JCRE and Meidingu Institute participated, with Meeta Asem of Classic Hospitality also attending.
