ALT Imphal organises blood donation camp in Chandel

Chandel, March 20 2026: The Imphal branch of Anal Lenruwl Tangpi (ALT) conducted a voluntary blood donation camp at District Hospital, Chandel, in collaboration with Royal Riders Chandel.

The initiative was also supported by Shija Blood Centre and District Hospital, Chandel.

According to a press statement issued by ALT Imphal, the camp witnessed an encouraging response, with over 70 individuals voluntarily donating blood.

ALT Imphal said that the initiative aimed to address the ongoing need for safe blood, promote voluntary blood donation and support the timely operationalization of a fully functional Blood Centre at District Hospital, Chandel.

Officer-in-charge of Chandel District Police, Ch Sanjoy, was among the first to donate blood along with his spouse.

Appreciating the initiative, he emphasized the importance of community participation, stating that volunteers must come forward to help establish a blood bank in the district.

The programme also received support from Helping Hands for People Manipur, Anal Lenruwl Tangpi GHQ Chandel, village authorities, youth clubs and Anal Sinnu Ruwl.

ALT Imphal expressed gratitude to all donors and supporting bodies for their cooperation and commitment.
