Seed distribution & training programme held

Imphal, December 19 2025:
The Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal, in collaboration with Seva Bharati Manipur, organised a Seasonal Seed Distribution & Training Programme today for villagers of Haraorou and nearby areas.
The event was held at the Rajarshi Bhagyachandra Skill Development Centre, Haraorou.
Under this initiative, farmers and villagers were provided with a variety of seasonal seeds, including 2 kg of pea seeds, one packet each of coriander and bean seeds, 30 pumpkin seeds, 100 sweet com seeds, 20 grams of spinach seeds, along with other vegetable varieties.
Additionally, scientists from the CAU Imphal conducted a training programme to equip participants with practical knowledge and scientific techniques aimed at improving agricultural productivity and adopting sustainable farming practices.
The programme was organised with the objective of promoting sustainable agriculture, strengthening self-reliance among farmers, and supporting rural livelihoods in the region.
At the event, Binanda Khundrakpam, Sah Prant Pracharak, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Manipur Prant, spoke about the concept of Pancha Parivartan, emphasising that meaningful transformation begins with individuals and families.
He also highlighted the role of disciplined lifestyles, social responsibility, and community participation in nation-building.
The event witnessed active participation from villagers and volunteers, reflecting a collective effort toward agricultural development and social transformation.
