AR honours bravehearts

Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR(S) organised a wreath laying ceremony at Shangshak village in Ukhrul todayto honour three bravehearts who had laid down their lives in service of the Nation.
On June 17, 2018, an area domination column of 40 Assam Rifles was ambushed by insurgents in Mon district of Nagaland, said a release issued by HQ IGAR (South).
The AR column retaliated and during the ensuing firefight, Hav Fateh Singh Negi, Rfn Alom Hussain and Rfh Sathin Kumar of 40 Assam Rifles sustained severe injuries and later succumbed to their injuries, thereby making the supreme sacrifice in the line of dirty.
The solemn ceremony included a wreath laying ceremony and a minute of silence to remember the brave deeds of the martyrs.
Assam Rifles reached out to family members of the bravehearts on this solemn occasion and enquired about their well being.
A representative from the unit visited the family members of the bravehearts and presented a token of remembrance to the bereaved.
