Imphal, April 16 2026: A large number of womenfolk took out a meira rally tonight from Lilong to Singjamei demanding justice for the Tronglaobi killings.

The rally was organised under the aegis of All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO), All Manipur Women's Voluntary Association (AMAWOVA), Committee on Human Rights (COHR), Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) and Poirei Leimarol Meira Paibi Apunba Manipur (PLMPAM) .

The protesters raised slogans such as "Go back Central Force", "Long live Manipur" and called for the arrest of Kuki militants responsible for the Tronglaobi bomb attack.

Prior to the meira rally, security was tightened at Kakwa and Singjamei with the deployment of Police and Central security force personnel.
