Yoga sessions held ahead of global event

Imphal, June 13 2025:
In the run-up to the International Yoga Day 2025, a series of yoga sessions were held across the state to promote physical fitness, mental resilience and social harmony.
The events aim to encourage a healthy lifestyle among the rural communities through the ancient practice of yoga.
On Friday, a special yoga session took place at Good Shepherd School, Kasom Khullen, Kamjong district, attracting over 150 students, teachers and local residents.
Under expert guidance, participants engaged in yoga asanas, pranayama and meditation techniques.

A separate session was conducted at Chongjang in Tengnoupal, with 71 participants focusing on asanas and breathing exercises led by trained instructors.
Between June 9 and 12, nearly 400 participants took part in yoga sessions at Sehlon in Chandel.
At Khangbarol School, Chakpikarong, a special yoga awareness lecture and practice session was also held for 60 students and teachers.
Additionally, sports equipment was distributed to encourage fitness among children.
