Free health camps held

As part of the Swachhta Action Plan 2025-26, a one-day free mega health camp was organized at Dharmalaya Hall, Brahmapur Nahabam Bamon Leikai Basketball Ground, Imphal East District, Manipur.
Doctors from various departments, including Medicine, Paediatrics, Gynaecology, ENT, Orthopaedics, Dermatology, Dental, and Psychiatry, provided free consultations and treatment to attendees.
Free medicines were also distributed to all patients.
The camp witnessed an overwhelming response, with approximately 250 people receiving medical care during the event.
The organizers expressed their gratitude to the participating medical professionals, volunteers, and support staff for making the camp a success.
Meanwhile, a Painting and Slogan Writing Competition for school children was also held today as part of the month-long celebration of World Oral Health Day at Jubilee Hall, RIMS, Imphal.
Cosmopolitan Youth Club, Wangkhei and Maipakpi Maternity and Child Hospital jointly organised a one-day free mega medical camp at Cosmopolitan Youth Club ground located at Wangkhei Laishram Leikai.
At the camp, the medical team offered diabetes screening, haemoglobin test, cervical cancer screening, ultra sound test and consultations on obstetrics and gynae, chest medicine, general medicine, uro (urinary), general surgery, dental paediatrics (child health) etc.
A 40-member staff from Maipakpi Hospital provided their services at the mega health camp where free medicines were also given to the patients and facilities for ABHA card registration were further offered.
Nameirakpam Surinam Singh, General Manager, Maipakpi Maternity and Child Hospital also graced the camp.
Additionally, DESAM Imphal West District Council in collaboration with Shija Hospital and Research Institute conducted a free health camp at Sairemkhul.
Around 300 people from Tairenpokpi and Atongkhuman attended the health camp.
Free medicines were distributed to the patients.
