Loibon Khullen Baptist Church celebrates

Minister for Irrigation and Flood Control Ngamthang Haokip, while appealing to all the communities settling in the State to live together in peace, has stated that Meeteis, Nagas and Kukis should stop thinking only of their own respective community but as a single family.
The Minister was speaking on occasion of Golden Jubilee celebration of Loibon Khullen Baptist Church at Loibon Khullen today.
The Minister further stated that Loibon Khullen is a village inhabited by Kukis and the Government has been able to develop it to a certain level only.
The roads leading to the village has been repaired according to the needs of the villagers.
He also appealed to the villagers to inform him of any houses which have not yet been tin-roofed so as to provide the required tin sheets.

The Minister informed that a health centre is all set to be established at Tinkai village shortly.
A 9-km long road leading to Tupul from Tinkai village will also be constructed in the near future.
While terming the unwillingness of some of village Chiefs over devolution of 25% of power to the Autonomous District Council (ADC) as most unfortunate, the Minister explained that ADCs should check whether the job card holders under MGNREGS receive their wages or not.
Prior to the function, Ngamthang Haokip along with Minister for RD and PR Francis Ngajokpa, who was attended the function, inspected the progress of the construction of roads in the village under PMGSY.
L Manglem, Director, MANIREDA was also present in the inspection visit.
