Senapati, November 11 2025:
The Northern Maram Students' and Youth Organization (NMSYO) on Monday visited the CSR Infratech worksite to assess the progress of the ongoing road construction along the Maram-Peren section of NH-129A .
According to the student body, NH-02 had been completely cut off during the recent rainy season due to heavy landslides, forcing traffic to be diverted through the Maram-Peren road.
However, multiple landslides also occurred along the diverted route, severely affecting connectivity.
Despite these setbacks, the contractor reportedly continued regular maintenance efforts to keep the road motorable.
The NMSYO noted that road conditions have now improved significantly, with smoother traffic movement.
The organization further observed that both maintenance works and balance construction activities are currently under way.
The contractor assured that uninterrupted traffic flow will be maintained and committed to completing all remaining works within the next six months.
CSR Infratech has also begun work at Maram Centre, near Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, with plans to complete the Maram Junction stretch by December 10, 2025.Acknowledging the efforts of the contractors, the NMSYO stressed the importance of adhering to the committed timeline, highlighting the route's importance for students, local residents, and daily commuters.
The student body appealed to the public to extend full cooperation to CSR Infratech to ensure timely completion of the project.
For complaints or issues, the NMSYO urged citizens to contact the president of NYMSYO at mobile number +91 811995380 .
