Imphal, March 11 2025: Thirty-five consumers were arrested for power theft during raids conducted by MSPDCL officers and staff today.

As per a press release, the officials arrested one from LSD-I sub-division area; one from Heingang Awang Leikai area under Lamlong-I sub-division; six from Lamlai-I sub-division area; five from kakching Khunou Awang Keithel Leikai under Sugnu sub-division; five from Thoubal sub-division area; one from Wangjing sub-division area; five from Yairipok Bishnunaha, Wangkhem, Icham Khunou area under yairipok sub-division; two from Bishnupur sub-division area; one from Yumnam Khunou area under Nambol sub-division; three from Mission Veng area under Churachandpur sub-division; three from S Molhoi, Mata Lambulane area under Churachandpur RE sub-division and two from Moreh sub-division area.

Additionally, the power connection of 23 consumers were disconnected while FIRs were filed against another five consumers.
