Senapati, December 10 2025:
The Naga People's Organisation (NPO) has appealed for unhindered movement for all participants and visitors attending the 4th State Level Barak Festival scheduled to be held from December 12 to 14 at Zelipou, Senapati.
The appeal was made by NPO president Peter Kuba during a press conference at the organisation's office on Wednesday.
Extending a warm welcome, the president said the organising committee invites people from all communities, both within and outside the state, to join the celebration and strengthen the spirit of unity.
He noted that this year's edition of the festival will feature a diverse calendar of events including Barak Rock, the Barak Queen Contest, cultural performances, a literature festival and indigenous games.
He expressed hope that the festivities would be memorable, colourful and a true reflection of shared identity and harmony.
The organising committee also urged all sections of society to refrain from calling any form of bandh, blockade or agitation during the festival, emphasising the need for free and safe passage for visitors.
The inaugural session on December 13 will be graced by Ajay Kumar Bhalla, Governor of Manipur as chief guest, along with Dr Puneet Kumar Goel, Chief Secretary, Govt of Manipur, as guest of honour.
