Imphal, September 10 2025:
In a vibrant display of commitment to national harmony and cultural exchange, the Assam Rifles flagged off a 15-day National Integration Tour (NIT) from Pallel Garrison today.
Organised by Assam Rifles as part of Operation Sadbhavana, the initiative brings together participants from civil society organisations (CSOs) across Moreh, Tengnoupal, and neighbourin g areas.
As per a release issued by the IGAR (South), the ceremonial departure was led by the Deputy Inspector General of Assam Rifles, in the presence of approximately 150 attendees and various dignitaries.
The tour is designed to offer participants a panoramic experience of India's rich cultural and historical tapestry.
Over the next two weeks, the group will journey through Shillong, Kolkata, and Delhi - immersing themselves in the architectural grandeur of national monuments, the spiritual resonance of religious sites, and the legacy of historical landmarks that narrate India's pluralistic ethos.
A highlight of the tour will be exclusive interactions with eminent national figures, including the President of India, the Director General of Assam Rifles, the General Officer Commanding Delhi Area, and the General Officer Commanding 3 Corps.
These engagements are envisioned to inspire the CSO delegates to carry forward the message of unity, peace, and national pride within their communities.
The National Integration Tour stands as a testament to the Assam Rifles' enduring dedication to fostering goodwill and empowerment in the region.
Beyond its operational mandate in counter-insurgency, the force continues to champion initiatives that build bridges between communities and reinforce the spirit of togetherness.
