SIR 2026 enumeration forms distribution reaches 98.6% in Bishnupur

Bishnupur, June 09 2026:
The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls, 2026, is progressing steadily in Bishnupur district, with the distribution of pre-filled Enumeration Forms (EFs) reaching 9 8.60 per cent, according to the Office of the District Election Officer (DEO), Bishnupur.
In a press note issued by the District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Pooja Elangbam, it was informed that the SIR exercise, launched on May 30 under the instructions of the Election Commission of India has significant headway in the district.
As of 12 pm on June 9, the submission rate of the distributed forms through Booth Level Officers (BLOs), the official web portal and mobile application stood at 16.47 .
The DEO appealed to all registered electors to actively participate in the revision process by furnishing accurate information about themselves and their family members and submitting the completed forms at the earliest.
Clarifying the procedure, the DEO stated that no supporting: documents are required to be collected by BLO during the ongoing enumeration phase.
Electors only need to fill up and return the prescribed forms.
For individuals who fail to submit the forms, BLOs will undertake mandatory field verification with neighbouring electors to determine the reason for nonsubmission, including cases of absence, migration, shifts, death or duplication.
The DEO also advised citizens seeking clarification or assistance regarding the enumeration process to contact the Election Commission's toll-free Voter Helpline Number 1950 .
