Thoubal College celebrates 63rd foundation day

Thoubal, August 08 2026: Thoubal College celebrated its 63rd Foundation Day at the college multipurpose hall on Saturday with the presentation of awards to meritorious students.

The programme was jointly organised by the Thoubal College Teachers' Association (TCTA) and Thoubal College Students' Union.

College Principal Prof A Nabachandra attended as chief guest, while TCTA president N Ibobi presided over the function.

IQ AC coordinator Dr L Akendrajit Singh was the guest of honour.

As part of the observance, the dignitaries and participants paid floral tributes at the college foundation stone and the college deity, followed by prayers to the deity.

Students who excelled in sports and examinations conducted by Manipur University and the college were presented various awards donated by different individuals as encouragement for their achievements.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal Prof A Nabachandra highlighted the important role of alumni in taking the institution to greater heights.

He urged the alumni to contribute actively towards the development and growth of the college, recalling that he too was a student of the institution.

The celebration concluded with cultural performances presented by students.
