BYPA marks 2nd foundation day at Borayangbi

Moirang, February 07 2026: The Borayangbi Youth Progressive Alliance (BYPA), celebrated its 2nd foundation day on Saturday at Borayangbi Thongkhong Bazar.

The programme was attended by MLA of Kumbi Assembly Constituency S Premchandra; BYPA president Md Raffijuddin; Administrative Committee Borayangbi GP chairperson, Th Romesh; Administrative Committee Wangoo Terakhong GP chairperson, P Baleshore; SDO Bungte Chiru, Md Hefajuddin; Kumbi OC L Basanta Singh; president of Federation of Civil Society Organisation (FOCS), B Yaima Shah; former president of ICHAM, N Rajendro Singh; president of Manipur Meitei Pangkhak Welfare Organisation MA Chesaba; president of Hatta Borayangbi Iron Team, Md Sherkhan; along with ward members of Borayangbi GP as presidium members.

Associate Prof Dr Syed Ahmed, Head of the Department of History, DM College of Arts, Imphal, served as the resource person oand delivered a lecture highlighting the historical and contemporary bonds between the Meitei and Meitei Pangal communities.

As part of the celebration, winners of the 1st BYPA Cornerstone Rooting 2025 (Spelling Competition) held on November 16, 2025, in two categories, were felicitated during the programme.
