Imphal, October 05 2025: The Indian Dental Association (IDA), Manipur State Branch successfully conducted a Continuing Dental Education programme on "Basic Life Support" at the auditorium of JNIMS, Imphal today.

As per a release by IDA, the programme was conducted in collaboration with the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dental College, JNIMS.

The programme aimed to enhance the knowledge and practical skills of dental professionals in managing medical emergencies and providing timely life-saving measures in clinical settings.

Around 300 delegates participated in the programme, including members of IDA Manipur State Branch, interns and faculty from JNIMS Dental College, and RIMS Dental College.

The session was led by Dr Nameirakpam Charan, who delivered an insightful lecture on the importance and techniques of Basic Life Support.

Following the lecture, participants received hands-on demonstrations on performing Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation, proper use of an Ambu bag, and handling a defibrillator.
