Thoubal, September 04 2025: A special e-Shram registration campaign for platform workers and unorganized workers was launched today by Deputy Commissioner of Thoubal Hannah Kahmei at the District Election Counting Hall, Thoubal.

The special drive of e-Shram registration campaign, was organised by the District Administration of Thoubal under the directive of Department of Skill, Labour, Employment and Entrepreneurship, Government of Manipur.

Speaking at the launch, Deputy Commissioner Hannah Kahmei highlighted that the special registration drive aims to extend welfare benefits and ensure social security for both platform and unorganised workers across the district.

By creating a Universal Account Number (UAN), the initiative seeks to establish a comprehensive database of workers and labourers, thereby streamlining the delivery of government schemes and services.

As part of the campaign, UAN cards were also distributed to the beneficiaries.

The event was also attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Thoubal, A Amarjit Sharma.
