Churachandpur administration reviews preparations for 80th Independence Day

CCpur, August 04 2026: The District Administration, Churachandpur, on Monday convened a coordination meeting to review preparations for the forthcoming 80th Independence Day celebration at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner's Office, Mini-Secretariat, Tuibong.

The meeting, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar, discussed arrangements for the grand celebration to be held at Peace Ground, Tuibong.

The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the roles and responsibilities of various departments and urged all line departments to work in close coordination to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the event.

It was decided that the full-dress rehearsal would be held on August 13 at 8 am .

As part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, scheduled to be observed from August 9 to 17, the district will organise a series of patriotic activities, including a bike rally, Tiranga exhibitions and singing of Vande Mataram at schools, colleges and public places, highlighting the evolution of the national flag and the contributions of freedom fighters.

The campaign will further feature flag rallies accompanied by patriotic songs, cycle and e-bike rallies across the district and gram panchayats, Tiranga-themed illumination and decoration of government buildings, artwork in schools and Tiranga-inspired rangolis at prominent locations.
