Thoubal DC flags off mobile vehicle as part of NMBA campaign

Thoubal, March 04 2025: In a concerted effort to give awareness to the public about the harmful effects of substance abuse District Administration Thoubal and District Social Welfare Office, Thoubal today jointly launched a mobile vehicle at the DC Office Complex Thoubal.

Launching the mobile vehicle, Deputy Commissioner Thoubal, A Subhash IAS said Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan is an ambitious programme launched by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment to make India a drug free nation.

He appealed to the people of the District to take part in such an awareness programme and spread the message to make Thoubal a drug free District.

He said that the Mobile vehicle will go in the nook and comer of the District spreading messages about the menace of drugs.

The event was also attended by District Social Welfare Officer, Thoubal, K Nongpoknganba Salaicha.

In another programme held today as part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan campaign, an awareness programme was held at Brilliant Academy, Thoubal.

The programme was organised by the District Administration in collaboration with the District Social Welfare office and Zonal Education office Thoubal.

At the programme, Resource persons speak about substance abuse and de-addiction.

About 130 students participated in the programme.
