Noney holds preparatory meeting for 80th Independence Day celebration

Noney, August 03 2026: The Noney District Administration held a preparatory meeting for the celebration of the 80th Independence Day at the DC Conference Hall, Noney district headquarters, on Monday.

Deputy Commissioner Vidyamri Sridhar, chaired the meeting attended by District Level Officers (DLOs) and their representatives.

The DC discussed the roles and responsibilities of various departments and assigned duties for the smooth conduct of the nationwide celebration.

The Deputy Commissioner urged all line departments to work in close coordination and complete their assigned tasks within the stipulated time.

The meeting decided to conduct a full dress rehearsal on August 12 .

It was also resolved to participate in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign from August 9 to 17, including the organisation of a bike rally as part of the pre-Independence Day celebrations.

The meeting further decided to observe Patriots' Day on August 13 and Partition Horrors Remembrance Day on August 14 at the DC Office.

Noney Superintendent of Police Divya, AC to DC Christian Home, officers from CAPF and officials of the District Administration, Noney, attended the meeting.
