Imphal, June 03 2025: Takhellambam Ibochou (55) who went missing after he fell into Abulok River on June 1 afternoon has been found dead some 100 metres away from the spot where he fell.

The dead body was discovered by local people and volunteers of Arambai Tenggol Unit 18 (Lamsang) this afternoon.

Massive search operations involving personnel of Lamsang police station, SDRF and locals to trace and rescue Takhellambam Ibochouba alias Nongban (55) of Lairenkabi Mamang Leikai were going on from June 1 afternoon after he fell into the river from Abulok bridge.

Some local people and members of Arambai Tenggol Lamsang Unit carried on the search and rescue operation today too and they found the body of Takhellambam Ibochouba alias Nongban some 100 meters away from the spot where fell into the river.

The dead body has been handed over to family members after post mortem at RIMS morgue.
