Thoubal, November 30 2025: The District Health Society, Thoubal, under the National Oral Health Programme (NOHP), organised a one-day Oral Health Camp today at Saraswati Coaching Institute in Heirok Pt-I, Heitupokpi, Thoubal.

The camp was led by Dr L Robinson, District Nodal Officer of NOHP and Senior MO in-charge of CHC Yairipok.

Dr Robinson, along with his medical team, provided various dental treatment services to villagers and distributed essential medicines free of cost.

Speaking in this connection, Dr L Robinson said that this was the second oral health camp being organised in the district, with a similar initiative earlier conducted at Langathel on November 22 .

He highlighted that these camps are strategically organised in areas where oral healthcare facilities are limited or unavailable.

He further noted that the initiative follows directives from the Central Ministries in view of the rising cases of oral chronic diseases and oral cancers across the country.

The camp witnessed encouraging participation from local residents, many of whom expressed appreciation for the much-needed healthcare outreach.
