CPI (M) condoles demise of Comrade Sinam Lukhoi

Communist Party of India (Marxist), Manipur State Committee has condoled the demise of its former leader and former vice-president of Manipur Loumi Marup, Comrade Sinam Lukhoi.
Comrade Sinam Lukhoi passed away on December 21, 2022 at his residence at Changangei due to a personal illness.
He was 83 .
A press release by CPI(M), State Committee has informed that a condolence meeting was held to condole the demise of this eminent leader of CPI(M) at Changangei.
During the meeting, Sarat Salam, CPI(M) Manipur Secretariat Member recalled Comrade Sinam Lukhoi as a dedicated leader who made significant contributions for the welfare of farmers' community in the State.
His role for the establishment of Manipur Ain Sabha, during the struggle to achieve Statehood of Manipur, inclusion of Manipuri language in the 8th Schedule etc were also remembered.
Sarat also maintained that his demise is an irreparable loss for the farmers' community of the State and CPI(M).
The attendees also observed two minute silence as a mark of honour to the departed soul.
Sinam Ibopishak, Taorem Manihar and RK Sanajaoba attended as the presidium members of the condolence meeting.
Many party members also spoke on the life and contributions of the departed.
