Imphal, September 29 2025: On the occasion of the 129th birth anniversary of Lamyanba Hijam Irabot, Th Satyabrata Singh, Speaker, Manipur Legislative Assembly has paid tribute to the visionary leader and social reformer who devoted his life to justice, equality and the upliftment of Manipur.

In a message, the Speaker said that Hijam Irabot awakened the spirit of unity and courage among the people through his activism and stirring words in poetry and drama.

He urged people to carry forward his dream to rise above divisions, strengthen bonds and build a just and inclusive future for all.

In his message, K Robindro Singh, MLA, Mayang Imphal AC also paid tribute to Jananeta Hijam Irabot, his immense sacrifices and unwavering vision.

The MLA urged every citizen to embrace the spirit of oneness that Hijam Irabot championed and work collectively for a peaceful and prosperous Manipur.

Additionally, the Democratic People's Front (DPF) also conveyed their greetings to all the communities living in Manipur on the occasion of Hijam Irabot's 129th birth anniversary which falls on September 30 .
