One-day soil health training programme held for farmers at Samaram Mamang

Thoubal, December 28 2025: A one-day training programme for farmers on "Soil Health" was organised on Sunday at Ekop Ningthou Laibung, Samaram, Thoubal district.

According to a release issued by the Irabot Foundation, the programme was organised by the Irabot Foundation Manipur in collaboration with Samaram Mamang Ekop Ningthou Laibung.

President of the Irabot Foundation, Kh Gopen Luwang, and Soil Chemist of KVK Thoubal, Dr W Jiten Singh, served as resource persons and delivered talks highlighting the importance of soil health management, scientific farming practices and the judicious use of inputs to enhance agricultural productivity.

During the programme, a total of 75 soil health cards and bio-fertiliser packets were also distributed to participating farmers, aiming to promote sustainable and eco-friendly agricultural practices in the region.

The event was also attended by Kh Ranjit Meitei, Lourungba of the Ekop Ningthou Laibung.
