Kakching, August 28 2024: District Legal Services Authority Thoubal in association with Legal Aid Clinic, Sugnu conducted a legal awareness programme at Kha Maikei Relief Camp Guest House, Sugnu today.

As per a release issued by Ahongshangbam Mina, coordinator, Legal Aid Clinic, Sugnu, the legal awareness camp was organised under the supervision of Manipur State Legal Services Authority, Imphal.

The programme was graced by Moirangthem Sarat, chairperson, Sugnu Municipal Council; Khaidem Bijoy, former president, Ching-Tam peace Committee and Md Riaj Khan, OC, Sugnu PS as the chief guest, functional president and guest of honour respectively.

Resource persons Advocate Ch Manishwor and B Prem spoke at length about "FIR/Bail: Your rights when arrested" and "Benefits under victim compensation scheme".

Additionally, Legal Aid Clinic, Sugnu distributed stationery items to the students at the relief camp.
