Imphal, January 28 2025: The State Government has notified all citizens that Martyrs' Day will be observed on January 30 from 10:10 am to 11:04 am in commemoration of Mahatma Gandhi's death anniversary.

A press note issued by N Ashok Kumar, Commissioner (Home), has informed that a siren will be sounded from 10:59 am till 11 am as a warning signal for observance of two minutes of silence.

Another siren will be sounded from 11:02 am to 11:03 am as a closing signal.

During the two minutes silence, vehicles along the highway and campus areas have been directed to remain at standstill.

Additionally, all citizens have been requested to observe the 2-minute silence when the signal is sounded and stay wherever they are to observe the same.

The Martyrs' Day function will be held at Gandhi Memorial Hall in the presence of the Chief Minister and Governor of Manipur.
