Kumbi College celebrates 46th foundation day

Bishnupur, September 27 2026: Kumbi College established with the sole aim of providing higher educational opportunities to students of Kumbi and nearby villages completed 46 years of existence.

The 46th foundation day was celebrated today at the college organised jointly by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), National Service Scheme (NSS) unit and Alumni Association of the college.

The programme was graced by Kumbi College Principal A Thoinu; Kumbi College Governing Body (GB) member and National Youth Awardee Kh Lilachandra; GB member L Ibomcha; Head of Department (HOD) of Chemistry of the college S Rajen; Kumbi College Employees Association president and HOD Mathematics Y Devananda; HOD of Physics Kh Rameshwar and HOD of Political Science Th Ibetombi Devi as the presidium members.

The highlight of the today's foundation celebration includes paying tributes to the statue of land donor of the college and portraits of the departed founders of the college and other prominent individuals who worked selflessly for the development of the college and presentation of Best Teacher Award, Best Non-Teaching Award and Student Topper of the Year 2025 -26 by honouring them with certificates.
