'World Hepatitis Day" observed

Chandel, November 26 2024: District Health Society, Chandel observed "World Hepatitis Day, 2024" under the theme 'It's time for Action' at District Hospital Chandel today.

The event was attended by Deputy Commissioner Chandel, Mayanglambam Rajkumar (IAS), CMO cum Mission Director of District Health Society, Dr Jayson Mathew Monsang and Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Chandel, Dr Serbum Shachung Moyon as presidium members.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Commissioner Chandel, Mayanglambam Rajkumar IAS said that Hepatitis is still a silent killer disease till today and is being celebrated to spread awareness to the people.

He urged the people to not neglect or ignore the disease and must take precautions.

Resource person, Dr Laishram Deben, District nodal officer of NVHCP stressed on the topic of Hepatitis disease.

Several Asha workers, ASHA facilitators including NHM Chandel, DPM Jasha Premi and DCM Tovir Ngoruh also attended the function.
