Imphal, March 25 2009:
Chief Minister O Ibobi today inspected the work progress of the Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Science (JNIMS), Porompat session for which is scheduled to begin from August this year.
The Chief Minister had, during his previous visit to the work progress on February 4 last, expressed his dissatisfaction over the slow progress of the work and lack of quality maintenance in the construction work.
But this time, the irritating face of the Chief Minister was not noticed as some progresses of the works could be perceived.
During his earlier inspection, the Chief Minister had said that the construction works of the Institute will be completed by the second week of March.
But its completion, till now, is a far sight.
He had also instructed to complete the newly constructed Ortho Ward of the hospital by March 25 but that was also not materialised.
However, the Chief Minister was assured of the completion of it latest by March 27.He also instructed all the incomplete Wards to be accomplished by March 31. The Chief Minister, O Ibobi was accompanied during his inspection tour today by the Works Minister, K Ranjit, PDA Chairman Kh Loken, officials of the Works Department and the Imphal East SP, Radheshyam.
The Chief Minister and his team inspected the Ortho Ward, 30-bedded Female medicine Ward, 20-bedded Post Natal and Genae Ward, OPD, CT Scan Room, and Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemist Departments during the tour today.
