NEDFi releases Master Plan for integrated agri development in Manipur

Imphal, September 24 2026: The Imphal Branch of NEDFi organised a book release programme of the report titled "Study and Preparation of Master Plan for the Integrated Development of Agriculture and Allied Sectors in Manipur" on Thursday at the Conference Hall, Directorate of Agriculture, Sanjenthong.

The programme was graced by Director of Agriculture, Manipur, Peter Salam; Director of Horticulture & Soil Conservation, K Debadutta Sharma; Consultant WAPCOS Ltd, Dr KPS Malik; and Branch Manager, Churachandpur, Kh Omendro Singh.

A total of 43 participants comprising officials and staff from the Agriculture Department and Horticulture & Soil Conservation Department attended the programme.

Delivering the welcome address, Kh Omendro Singh gave an overview of the study report, undertaken under the Techno Economic and Development Fund (TEDF) Department of NEDFi and prepared by WAPCOS Limited.

He highlighted that the Master Plan is intended to serve as a practical roadmap for the integrated development of agriculture and allied sectors in Manipur and will also provide measurable targets, identify responsibilities, outline financial requirements and timelines and propose mechanisms for monitoring and evaluation.

Peter Salam and K Debadutta Sharma praised the study and acknowledged that the book would serve as a valuable reference for the departments and provide useful support to the Government and other stakeholders in planning and implementing future interventions in agriculture and allied sectors.
