'Rotary Blood Donation Camp' held

Imphal, February 23 2025: Rotary Club of Imphal and Rotary Club of Polo City Imphal in collaboration with the Blood Transfusion Department, RIMS, Imphal today jointly organised a 'Rotary Blood Donation Camp' at Rotary Bhavan, Mantripukhri.

During the camp, 39 generous donors voluntarily donated 39 units of blood.

According to a release issued by Rotary Club of Imphal, the blood donation camp was organised in connection with the observance of the 120th Anniversary of Rotary International.

It was on this day on Feb 23, 1905, the first ever Rotary Club, the Rotary Club of Chicago in the USA was founded by Paul Harris, Gustavus Loehr, Silvester Schiele, and HiramShorey, stated Rotary Club of Imphal.

Later in the evening 'Rotary Peace Pole' inscribed with the words 'May Peace Prevail on Earth' was inaugurated by Past assistant Governor Rm Dr Th Dhabali Singh at Rotary Bhavan, Mantripukhri.
