"Call joint meeting of MLAs, CSOs"

Peace & Integrity Committee Kyamgei (PICK) has appealed to ChiefMinisterN Biren Singh to call a joint meeting of all the MLAs, Ministers and Civil Society Organisations (CSO) to discuss the way forward, find a sustainable solution to end the prolonged conflict and restore peace & normalcy in Manipur.
In a release, PICK appealed to the CM to consider the aspirations of the people and take necessary steps to end the conflict which has been going on since May 3, 2023 .
Taking strong exception to the imposition of curfew and internet suspension, PICK also urged the State Government to reconsider their move and withdraw curfew and internet suspension in 7 districts at the earliest.
"Will shutting down schools/ colleges, imposing curfew & internet suspension help the Government in finding a solution for the prolonged conflict", asked PICK while adding that these moves will only increase hardships of the masses.
Besides, PICK and All Kyamgei Nupi Chaokhat Thourang Lup have extended their solidarity to the bereaved families of the 9 persons who were killed in Jiribam recently and prayed for the departed souls to rest in peace.
PICK and All Kyamgei Nupi Chaokhat Thourang Lup also extended support to all the activities/ movements launched by Joint Action Committee Against the Brutal Killing of 8 Innocent People and JAC Against the Brutal Killing of Khundrakpam Athouba Singh & Serious Injury of Keisham Bishon.
Furthermore, PICK condoled the untimely demise of Heikrujam Ibotombi Khuman and shared the grief & pain of the bereaved family.
