NE States mark presence at Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha Convention

Imphal, September 22 2026: Manipur, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh marked their presence at the 19th National Convention of Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha held at Secunderabad on September 21 under the theme "Viksit Bharat 2047: The Role of Veterans and Patriotic Citizens".

Manipur, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh were represented by State Presidents Lt Col (retired) Konsam Nilakumar Singh, Dr I Dingamang Digambou and Mayu Toring respectively.

The convention brought together national and statelevel leaders, veterans and patriotic citizens to deliberate on the role of veterans and citizens in nation-building, character-building and strengthening national integrity.

The gathering was graced by Col T P Tyagi, VrC, National President, Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha, Governor of Telangana, State President, Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha, Telangana, and other dignitaries.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr I Dingamang Digambou emphasised unity, inclusiveness and mutual respect.

"The strength of our nation lies in our ability to stand together with respect for every faith, every community and every region.

The North-East must remain an integral and active partner in the journey towards a stronger and more united India", he said.

As a gesture of goodwill, Dr Digambou presented mementos to the National President, the Governor of Telangana, the State President, Telangana, and Maj Gen G Srivastav, GOC Telangana and Andhra Sub Area.

Core Committee Member Satyajit Aribam could not attend due to health reasons but conveyed his best wishes, describing the convention as a meaningful initiative for national integrity that would help bring greater focus to the North-Eastern states.

The participation of NE representatives reflected the importance of the North-East in the national dialogue on nation-building and integration.

The convention concluded with a renewed emphasis on the collective responsibility of veterans and patriotic citizens in contributing to Viksit Bharat 2047 while upholding national unity, secularism, characterbuilding and inclusive development.
