2 non-locals caught cheating local man

Imphal, June 22 2013 : Two non-Manipuris, one running a shop selling housing materials in Majorkhul and the other a mason by profession, were caught while trying to cheat a Manipuri.

The Manipuri, a well known public figure, who does not want his identity to be revealed, told Hueiyen Lanpao that the non-Manipuri who runs a shop called Mohan Traders in Majorkhul is a dealer of the three layer PP-R Pipe manufactured by Savoir Faire Manufacturing Co.Pvt.Ltd.

The other non-Manipuri whose name is Lakshman is a mason by profession.

Lakshman works in the construction of his (the Manipuri) house.

He further informed that he told Mohan Traders to provide him PN 20 pipe which is the best type of PP-R Pipe manufactured by the said company.

It has three layers namely Anti Microbial, Black Plane and UV Stabilizer.

However, Lakshman bought some pipes from Mohan Traders saying that it is the one ordered by him and began installing some of them.

Being suspicious, the house owner contacted the company personally and enquired about the PN 20 pipes which he had ordered.

The company told him the details of the pipe to him.

And when he checked the pipes brought by the mason, it was found that the pipes were not PN 20 pipes but PN 16 pipes.

Still then, the mason insisted that there is no difference at all between the two and showed him the approval slip obtained from Mohan Traders.

The house owner asserted the mason along with Mohan Traders were trying to cheat him by providing an inferior quality pipe but charging for a superior quality.

They were trying to rob him an extra amount of Rs 20,000 .

If they could cheat Rs 20,000 from over 1000 people in Manipur, then both of them would have made lots of money, the house owner added.
