Speaking on the occasion, MLA Th Shanti stated that a society or a State can truly be considered developed only when its people acknowledge, embrace and preserve their own culture, tradition, attire and food habits.
He said that the Moirang Kangleirol has long been an integral part of the history of Manipur.
However, he pointed out that the inability to properly project the historical significance of Moirang Kangla, which holds a special place in the history of Manipur, reflects a shortcoming.
He emphasised that preserving culture and tradition is a collective responsibility of society.
The MLA also assured that he would continue to extend his support to KMKKL in its effort to safeguard and promote the rich history and cultural legacy of Moirang.
