CADA seize 300 litres of country liquor

Imphal, October 21 2021: As a part of their concerted effort against the use of drugs and alcohol, Coalition Against Drugs and Alcohol (CADA) conducted a drive today at Wangkhei Andro Parking, Imphal East around 2 pm .

Around 300 litres of country liquor and 2 Myanmarese beer were seized during the drive and were promptly disposed of, said a statement by CADA.

CADA has reacted strongly against alcohol vendors and any such individuals who peddle illicit substances for the sake of profit adding that the consumption of alcohol in groups can lead to an increased spread of COVID-19 .

The statement further appealed to the Government to take up sincere efforts against the sale of such illicit substances and take precautionary measures to protect the public from a probable 3rd wave of COVID-19 .
