Thoubal, January 21 2026: The prize distribution ceremony ofthe "2nd Emoinu Eratpa Changdam" held on December 31, 2025 (Emoinu Numit), took place on Tuesday at Kakching Khullen Ibudhou Khamlangba Laikol during the traditional ritual of "Phairen Nongma Panba Laibung (Laikol) Kaba" .

The competition was organised by the Arambai Tenggol Unit-26 under the aegis of Arambai Tenggol Headquarters with the objective of promoting and preserving Meitei tradition and culture.

In the competition, Nongpok Panthoibi Pareng of Kakching Khongnang Mari Phangba secured the first prize, while Kakching Wairi Punshi Pareng and Kakching Wairi Thong Anouba Pareng bagged the second and third prizes respectively.

The first prize carried a cash award of Rs 7,000, while the second and third prizes were awarded Rs 5,000 and Rs 3,000 respectively.

During the ceremony, it was announced that from next year onwards, cash prizes would be awarded to all participants.
