Jojo Robertson environmental campaign reaches Yeasom village

Imphal, June 20 2026:
Environmental activist Jojo Robertson continued his environmental awareness campaign with a tree plantation drive and awareness programme on conservation and preservation of the environment at Yeasom village under Kasom Khullen sub-division of Kamjong district.
The programme held on Friday, witnessed participation from members of the village authority, local clubs, church members and villagers, who joined hands to promote environmental protection.
Addressing the gathering, Jojo Robertson stressed the urgent need to protect the environment in view of growing climate challenges.
He said conserving forests and planting more trees are among the most effective measures to reduce the impact of climate change and tackle changing rainfell patterns being witnessed across the world.
He stated that through his campaign, he aims to plant around 2,000 saplings in Kasom Khullen sub-division.
He also informed that saplings would be distributed to selected villages and the initiative would be extended to certain areas of the Imphal valley.
As part of the programme, Jojo Robertson along with the villagers and other participants planted around 120 saplings at Yeasom village.
