Imphal, April 20 2026: The Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS),Imphal has announced that the OPD for Obstetrics and Gynaecology will officially begin operating from its newly constructed Maternity Block starting April 21.The new block is located behind the existing Obstetrics and Gynaecology Block.

While the transition begins tomorrow, hospital authorities expect the new block to be fully functional within the next 2-3 days.

Once the shift is complete, the old facilities currently located in the Main Hospital Block will be closed.

The RIMS administration has also advised all patients and visitors to carry their Aadhaar Card.

This is required to create ABDM Health Accounts, which facilitate access to digital health services.

The hospital administration has requested the public's cooperation during this transition period as they move services to the larger, modem facility to better serve patient needs.
