AMGSU voices concern over irregularities on first day of HSE examination

Kanglatongbi, February 18 2026: The All Manipur Gorkha Students' Union (AMGSU) has expressed strong dissatisfaction over an unfortunate incident reported on the first day of the Higher Secondary Examination (HSE) conducted by the COHSEM.

In a statement, the Union said it deeply regretted the inconvenience and distress caused to students during such a crucial stage of their academic journey.

It pointed out that any disruption or mismanagement during examinations adversely affects students' mental preparedness and overall performance.

AMGSU urged the concerned authorities to conduct a thorough inquiry into the matter and take corrective measures to prevent recurrence of similar incidents.

At the same time, the Union appealed to students to strictly adhere to examination norms and guidelines to uphold fairness and integrity.

It called upon candidates to maintain discipline, follow rules sincerely, and extend full cooperation to teachers, invigilators, Officers-in-Charge and other officials at examination centres.

With the Higher Secondary Examinations currently underway and Board Examinations set to begin from February 23, AMGSU also appealed to villages, local clubs, religious institutions and event organisers to refrain from using loudspeakers and high-volume sound systems during the examination period.
